All the books are digitally prepared for print (InDesign), including the final layout, illustrations, bibliography, notes, references, and index. All editorial work has been completed, and the files are ready for immediate publication or printing.

The English editions have so far been published only in India and are available at Sabda (see www.sabda.in).

We have already produced a second expanded edition of the two books, Immortal Wisdom and The Garden of Man, each with some new contributions and a new cover design.

Forthcoming new edition of Immortal Wisdom

Medhananda, consciousness researcher and interpreter of symbols in ancient cultures, examines in this book the Greek myth of Herakles, a Pelasgian and an African myth, two ancient Egyptian picture sequences, a parable from India, two of Grimm’s fairy tales and the Gospel of Thomas (which was buried in the sand in Egypt until 1945).

In all the ancient messages, Medhananda discovers a symbol language with which spiritual experiences and inner maturing processes were expressed. Instead of taking the stories literally, we learn to see the various figures, animals and elements in them as symbols for soul forces, archetypes, functions and possibilities within ourselves: As in a mirror, aspects and movements of consciousness of our own being can be perceived behind the symbols. The myth of Heracles, for example, shows us how to become a true hero: by practicing and developing inner, psychological powers. This new understanding of the ancient texts helps us to deepen our self-awareness, to get to know the possibilities of our multifaceted being, to grow and transform our small ego formation into a greater self.

Forthcoming new edition of The Garden of Man

There is a garden within us, the cultivation of which was already considered essential by the ancient Egyptians, as Medhananda demonstrates using a 3,500-year-old hieroglyphic text and many illustrations.

In the second part of this book, he explains in detail the symbol of the tree, with representations from various ancient cultures and their hidden teachings.

The third part examines why, in the later biblical account of creation (Genesis), the tree, the serpent, and other ancient symbols suddenly appear with entirely different meanings. Medhananda attributes this to a shift in human consciousness: around the time of the Bible’s origin, humans began to think analytically and dualistically, thereby losing their inner psychological richness and bliss.

Medhananda wants to help us rediscover the fullness of our being: “If a symbolic image from ancient times can help us to understand ourselves better, what does it matter that its deeper meaning was lost for several thousand years? We have discovered a way to explore ourselves and to unfold our many soul-forces.”

For the publication of the five ‘Egyptian books’, we have also created new cover designs. We are pleased to present these new covers to you here:
